Stretch Your Legs on Scenic Guided Hikes
Our Journey begins in Seward and quickly immerses you in Alaska’s rugged landscapes. Along the way, we’ll pause for a couple of moderate guided hikes, ranging from 2 to 4 miles each, with two different trails selected by your guide based on the season, weather, and group preferences. This is your chance to step into Alaska’s wilderness, breathe the crisp mountain air, and experience the beauty of the Chugach Mountains up close.
Explore the Charm of Moose Pass
Step into the heart of a small Alaskan town rich in frontier charm and history. Moose Pass has a long history of helping travelers on their way to explore Alaska’s untamed wilderness, from miners trekking the Iditarod Trail to modern-day adventurers like you, stopping to experience its charm and warm hospitality. Take a moment to soak in the views, chat with locals, and appreciate this authentic slice of Alaska.
Breathtaking Views Through Turnagain Pass
Next, the journey continues through Turnagain Pass, part of the Kenai Mountains Turnagain Arm National Heritage Area. Take in the stunning vistas of glaciers, alpine meadows, and towering peaks as we wind along the scenic Seward Highway.
Encounter Alaska’s Wildlife Up Close
Our next stop is the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center (AWCC), located just outside Girdwood. This sanctuary provides care and conservation for Alaska’s injured and orphaned wildlife. Here, you’ll meet iconic species such as muskox, bears, and wolves as you explore the 1.5-mile loop. AWCC’s dedication to preserving Alaska’s wildlife makes it a must-see highlight of the trip.
A Scenic Finish in Anchorage
As the day winds down, we’ll conclude with a scenic drive into Anchorage, leaving you with memories of hiking adventures, stunning views, and unforgettable wildlife encounters.
