Make Your Transfer Day a Real Hiking Adventure
This is not a shuttle. It is a private transfer from Anchorage to Seward that includes two guided hikes in some of the most iconic glacier country, plus scenic stops along the Seward Highway. Your hiking adventure will start in Portage Valley and finish near Seward, with your guide handling the driving, timing, and logistics so your group can focus on getting outside.
Hike options are customizable. We build the day around your group’s pace and priorities, and we adjust as needed for weather and trail conditions.
Hike in Portage Valley: Byron Glacier Trail
Your first hike is the Byron Glacier Trail, about 3 miles round trip. It is a great “welcome to Alaska” trail that delivers big scenery without requiring a huge commitment. Expect mountain views, glacial streams, and a close-up look at the Portage Valley landscape.
Scenic Drive and Photo Stops Along the Seward Highway
Between hikes, enjoy a narrated drive along the Seward Highway, a National Scenic Byway and All-American Road. We will make scenic stops as time allows, focusing on the best viewpoints for the day so you can take photos and enjoy the landscapes of Turnagain Arm and the surrounding mountains.
Hike Near Seward: Exit Glacier Area in Kenai Fjords National Park
To finish the day, you will hike near Exit Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park. Our route combines the Glacier View Loop and Glacier Overlook Trail, about 2 miles total, with glacier views and interpretive opportunities along the way. Depending on your group’s preferences and the day’s conditions, your guide can adjust the route to focus on viewpoints, pacing, and time on the trail.
A Scenic Finish in Seward
Your journey concludes in the coastal town of Seward. Arrive feeling accomplished, inspired, and connected to Alaska’s wild beauty after a day of adventure.
